Pity we've never had events in Liverpool where they will build a huge stadium. Mind you they would probably offer it to tha scuffs if the Council had anything to do with it :-(

You'd imagine that they will now be a very attractive club to buy.

true.... but that what they like doing isn't it...buying players. Buying a stadium doesn't really bring much to your style of football or your ability to win games.

its not really for free though is it.......if they have to pay rent, and upkeep etc, a team that would need 100 million+ spending on it.......i dont see how this makes them a buyable proposition tbh......

West ham already pay over a million quid a year to the royals who they have to pay ground rates to the ground is actually called the Boleyn ground after Henry the eighths bird so it will actually be about £800k a year more than what they pay for the dump there in now BARGAIN!!!

Well like anyone who wants to buy Everton, has to build a new stadium......lets say it costs £250m....plus interest on a possible loan....it will take minimum of 5 years to get the stadium done......

If someone buys westham now.....they can start from day 1.....they have the stadium, they have the increased gate receipts, they have the ability to attract top players with the stadium, whereas we'd be saying come to us and maybe if you're still here in 5-6 years we might have this fantastic stadium..

I think it will bring in new investors its the stadium what will sell the club and depending on the kind of investor they get will make there fan base grow just like Chelsea have done.

50 grand a week for a half a billion pound stadium that there going to spend another 190 million on seems pretty much free to me Sambo.

2 million pound a year for 99 years is 198 million.

even if they sell there stadium for 198 million so there rent is free for 99 years. 15 million for the conversion on top)

after that period of time, they dont own a stadium at all. Yet will be paying rent on a stadium that will be out of date.....

    sounds good :)
