    Lets say for arguments sake we convince Drenthe to sign and Fellaini signs a new 5 year deal, in the next 2 years we will replace Distin and Hibbert(who will then be experienced squad players as cover for us) when this team i've put out fully matures and if the players keep progressing, with a little bit of cosmetic work on the team, say a couple of defenders a striker and another attacking midfielder.......will we be capable of challening for honours?? I know we all want success now, but, with the young team that we have, and looking at it when its written down, with a bit of touching up here and there, is the future actually going to be bright for the boys in blue??

    Trouble is - the players you state we need i.e couple of defenders a striker and another attacking midfielder would need to 1) cost nothing 2) Be good or very good players.

    So I like the sentiment and we do need to get behind the team and be patient but - a fair amount of luck and money need to materialise before I see us challenging for anything.

    Baxter plays in Barkley's position so I wouldn't start him.

    Distin is covered by Heittinga so I that is one down. Means we have 5 years during which we need to find a right back.

    i think but for jags , heitenga would be regular centre back and captain now, dont think moyes is to keen on playing johnny and jags together, he likes a biggun in there like disten, i would expect or hope to see duffy or mustaphi push for a place, garbutt, hope, and a few other kids over the next 2/3 years
