They were 2 yellows, but got them because he was playing his heart out for the team. And Coleman, WOW is turning into a great player now he's got his defensive side sorted. COYB.    Very proud Evertonain

    no he didnt.

he made a stupid and unnecessary tackle endangering our slim 1-0 lead.

despite that we still went on to win.

I agree with the first post. I think the second challenge looks worse in slow motion and the city players made a meal if it as they now they didn't have a chance 11 v 11.

it was a nasty tackle and would have been a red on its own.

Peanuts was a disgrace. We could have lost because of him and he has become dispensable in my opinion.

It was a silly sending off... could have cost us the game

Plus rules him out of next game which unhelpful especially with fellaini also missing. Dreading to see our bench against stoke

fkoff he wasnt a disgrace, seen far worse, he just gave his all until the moment he got sent off, whole hearted and commited is what he was all match

May well be a blessing though as with him not having an international to play this week he will have a decent rest before he can play again @ spurs. If we can just get the 3 points from the next game it will set us up nicely with him to come back in for a difficult game away to them

It was a yellow, definitely but I do think the City players influenced the ref's decision further.

How many assists does he actually give in any match. Spurs copped him on and took appropriate action.

Great fighting spirit, Pienaar! Unfortunate it was a foul. Come back to make us stronger against spurs, COYB.

Scroll down to Pienaar's ratings and statistics and you may want to reconsider that statement. It was an obvious decision to award him the second yellow but to say he was crap all season is a bit much. If you don't want to scroll through his numbers, they are consistently good especially in passing, key passes, and shots per game, to go along with 5 goals and 5 assists. Last time I checked those were pretty good numbers, I'm glad to have him back despite despising him when he left us....

Whats the team and bench for stoke then folks, should be interesting. Probably see jelavic and neville come in for the two suspensions, with coleman right mid and neville right back.

I would take that instead of naismith starting. He too lightweight especially for playing them. Jelavic and victor up top
