On a free, yes, and for less than £50,000 a week, cant afford to pay wages to someone who might brake his jibblets while stretching

He isn't paid 50k a week, the news article in the other thread reports he's on 35k a week.

I think he is on more than £50k a week, but he would have to take a cut in his wages to come here so I think that is where the £35k came from.

He cost god knows how much a week and he's never fit. I'd rather player play Vellios and Stracqualursi

well whatever hes on a week, he is actually worse than saha. he scores a couple of goals and every ones shouting ''owen for england''

the lads body is finished. he was one of them players that put all the miles in early in his career. nowdays, you would be lucky to get 20 games out of him. he might have an eye for goal still but he is not the answer to our striking problems

You lot are hilarious. We sign someone from Argentina who none of us had heard of and you get excited. We get linked with someone who will score goals at any level, one of the best strikers the Pl has ever seen and you don't want him.

Say he only plays 10 games but in those 10 games scores 8-10 goals. Thats more than most of our fit strikers will score if they play every game.

Lets keep playing Cahill up front instead, he'll get a couple of headers for us.

Just to point out...i didn't get excited about Stracqualursi...I said it was our club throwing up a Hail Mary.

Michael owen would be the same thing....we tried it with Saha and he's never fit for 3 games in a row.....I'd rather we gave Vellios a run in the team next season than gamble on Owen.....
