    incidentally, there are a great many 'practising catholics' who are deeply concerned about the way that their church has been run for a very long time.

    they recognise that there is a very wide gulf between the teachings of jesus and the practices of their church. 


    there are growing number of sensible catholics who recognise this. you, tonyd,  just dont happen to be one of them.

So I am unsure why you feel the systematic covering up is not something that deems criticism? Has the Church of England covered up paedophilia? If so, they too will have as much coverage as the church.

    There you go. You can quit whining now. I don't think you have the foggiest idea whay people are critical of the RC church. You seem to be under the impression that if you are critical of the RC church in an article, or news report, you have to include every other offence known to man in that same report. You do not. If you start a thread on Islamic fundamentalists, you will see plenty of criticism therein. If you start one on paedophiles, again, you will see plenty of criticism. You problem is that you seem to think the church should be immune from this sriticism. It is not, and your hysterical pleas for people to be critical of other crimes just show how utterly childlike your argument is.

     No-one thinks any other paedo is fine. Don't be so ridiculous.
     If you have evidence of CoE child abuse cover up, please show it to us, and that organisation will be criticised.
