moyes is obviously thinking of leaving and i dont blame him. you can only go so far on talent, money is the key to success.

and the article isnt by fans at all. just some hack on a website.

most fans are behind moysey, but also know that he isnt a magician. personally i think he should go, not because he's done anything wrong, but for his own future. the longer he stays with a side that has no investment and therefore no potential, the worse it will be for his future career.

As a frequenter of 365 columns, I can tell you Matt Stranger doesn't miss an opportunity to have a dig at Everton and is partial to a bit of wumage.

True, but thats not hard for Everton is it, finding valid point about our club in the national press.

But lets be honest about what Mr Stranger has done there. He has made a few points around which some sections of Everton fans, post wigan, will identify with.

But his article isn't aimed at Moyes, its aimed at Everton fans perception of Moyes, hence the headline.

Its largely a piece that will have fans of top four clubs, who marvel at Moyes's results with a fraction of the cash, to wonder at the sanity of the average Everton fan.

It also appeals to fans of clubs below Everton who feel that with the right manager as David Moyes has proven they could be us... and not languishing in the bottom half of the table. They view our manager with envious eyes.

The article speaks to a great many fans but the title gives it away really. Its all about the contempt in our fans not even offering the man a pen. That contempt will appeal to some of those still raw after wigan in our fanbase... but it was also draw incredulity of fans from clubs below us and laughter from those above.

    Thats what Matt Stranger does.

Howdy, Stranger!
