How much bill and the other major shareholders paid for the club?

Tryin to get my head round this £125 million fee.

My first though is they paid around £40 million and they have increased the debt to close to £50 million.

The assets are goodison and players.
The playing squad is worth what
    Howard £1mill at his age
    Mucha 300k
    Hibbert 1mil
    Coleman 3-4 mil
    Baines 12 mil
    Stones 3 mil
    Oviedo 1.5 mil
    Distin 500k
    Jags 7mil
Heitiga 3mil with 1 year on contract
    Gibson 4-5mil
    Osman 2-3mil
Fellini 25mil depending which week u watch him
    Pienar 3-4mil
Mirallas 7mil probably a lot more next season
    Anichabe 3mil
    Jelavic 4-5 mil
    Naismith 2-3 mil
    Neville free
Barkley 3-4 as just potential at the moment.

About 90 mil for the squad
The land the stadium is on should be worth about 10mil so combined 100mil of assets with 50mil debt. A balance sheet of 50mil.

So wouldn't 50 mil be the sale price to buy them out with the directors making around a 25% profit on the original 40mil

An given that the club looses money every year it's not like the buyer is going to see an annual profit

This is probably the worst place to post such an eloquent well written thread mate.

Nobody knows what day it is on here. I don't even like football.

I think they bought the club for 21m......

The new tv deal coming next season is huge.....the club apparently can probably make £250m in just 3 years....thats why Bill believes £125m is a fair price....

The current turn over is around 90 mil a year so would be 270 over the 3 years.

I don't think the turn over is that important unless it is showing a significant profit which it won't because the board will do the same as it always does and fish out aload of new contracts to players that don't really need them and then the wage bill increases so they still don't see a profit.
