we were playing super football the first half of the season, and creating chances galore.......Fellaini's position behind Jelavic wasn't a problem then, and its not the problem now.......

do you think though that pushing felli up top has hindered his playing style?
i watched us on motd against fulham at home last season on sat.
my mate has it recorded becasue his nephew was caught on the camera.
the highlights were great in terms of his first touch and movement.
seems to have lost all that fluidity in his play and now is very eratic

I am not following close enough to say that but I would not play Fellaini as a suport for the striker. He is more imporant as a midfielder. I would have tried out the Naismith/Jelavic partnership a bit more.

I think Moyes is more a players manager as he plays the player he thinks are the best, not caring so much what position they play. To be a realy good manager I think he need to dare to exclude some of his top players depending on the opponent. But now you get me talking more than I should.

thats true but i think because felli is not a forward his abilities are limited in terms of through balls, quick feet in tight places around the box etc so he has been worked out v.easily after the first few months when it was a new tactic with jelavic to contend with as well.

i think moyes needed to see this and swap and change it to keep teams guessing the line up.
i.e rooney not playing against madrid because wellbeck is quicker even thought rooney is by far the better player.

i have always thought mirrales behind jelavic with his pace and skill would have been a good partnership.
with felli holding it would push gibson a bit further up so he can have shots and is a good passer of the ball.
