Dumb Moyes admitted defeat before the match even started when he said:

"We're going into a gunfight armed with a knife," - I mean what is the point of saying that!!
90% of the match is won outside the game by positive mental attitudes ie mind games etc etc. He went and already put the seeds of defeat in the teams minds. Also the fact that he selected such a team is proof.

moyes wil be happy with a 2-0 loss went into game not expecting to get anything, felli upfront with neville in centre is just lol when you got 3 strikers on the bench, barkley is left out and we got a headless chicken in coleman wide, osman is played left mid when hes not left mid, seems like moyes expected to lose so thought he would try and keep neville osman happy by playing them out of position, same with saha , he storms off refuses to watch game , then gets on ahead of vellios who looked good vs wigan, what is that saying to our young players? jobs for the boys if you ask me, barkley the best talent weve had at club since rooney yet hes rested/protected and were only 5 games in, fed up of it to be honest, not sure were we are going, but it dont matter some on here are happy as we were playing money bags citeh so we wont get anything, may as well forget watching the next 4 games as we wont win because we not got any money .

Well - a bit of an exxageration - at least some of the match is "mentally" won off the field........and then it is down to Moyes to send them onto the pitch with the right attitude, but not with the above expression, totally sends out the wrong message.

You see you confirmed my post -"Moyes expected to lose" - you never publicly express this ......you always must send out your players to WIN! No matter what!

mate i have always been a supporter of moyes on here in the past, but sometimes enough is enough, he is becomming a liability now with his selections and tactics, either hes bored and just meddling with different systems or hes just fed up and cant be assed anymore, this season has been poor tactically and selection wise, i think he needs a fresh challenge and we need freshening up because hes starting to kill any pride he had built up, yesterday was a total surrender to me with his selection, he went into the game expecting to lose. well we only had a knife and city had a gun, but at least use the bloody knife, played like we went into game with a pea shooter and they had a bazooka

when i read the dumb analyses of who we have, where they are playing and how many strikers we have on the bench etc., i'm grateful that the management take absolutely no notice of what the  trainee managers in the mob say.

if the club listened to the rubbish that was spouted EFC would have vanished without a trace years ago.

so knoxy  you happy with the sh'#'#te that was dished up in the everton name yesterday then....!!!!!..i can see where cjohno is coming from...10 0 0 is not an entertaining or winning formula...last year the excuse was we had no forwards..this year there are three...and we still play defensive football..you are very easily pleased

We played not to lose or to keep the margin down with no thought of being offensive,  in my opinion we needed to miss midfield out and played denis, saha, & vellios on who were sat on the bench and played with fellaini, rodwell & heitinga in midfield not pretty i know but you would have given them something to think about in a similar way as stoke do.

Best form of Defence is Attack, and you start defending from the front. However we started well. Rodwell had a Great chance but feeble shot. Trouble is if you defend with no-one up front to releive the pressure its 'Asking for it'. Bet the players were Pleased with Moyes calling them 'Tools' ?
