Nev is 34/35 and just played 120 mins midweek.

Just because he scored doesn't mean he should be a starter again and out of position.

Vellios has looked decent yet he remains on the bench.

Barklay needs game time and he wasn't even on the bench.

lack of creativity was embarrasing today

Maybe the lad needs nuturing, he's 17 and not coming back from injury, why does he NEED game time.

    Think before you type soft-lad!!!

I put Bilyaletdinov there because I wouldn't want to start Royston or Magaye, and the only other reasonable selection to start there would be Osman, who I don't think works as well on the left. I'd play Bily for 50-60 minutes, and then bring on Royston to throw pace at Liverpool's defence.

    I'd of gone for:

    Vellios
    Drenthe Rodwell Cahill Coleman
    Fellaini
    Baines Distin Jagielka Hibbert
    Howard

    Subs:
    Mucha
    Neville
    Sheitinga
    Osman
    Bilyaletdinov
    Barkley
    Straqcalursi

This is the team we all wanted to see today (Well maybe Heitinga for Jags)

For the derby, I'd have Felli and Strac playing, want to see goals, blood, red cards and fights next week, it's gonna be a tasty one. Liverpool will have the likes of Bellamy, Carroll and Suarez who'll look for a fight, and I'd expect the likes of Cahill, Felli, Drenthe and maybe even Strac to be looking for fights also. A typical derby I call that!

i want to see vellios playing and felliani in the centre, please not neville, i also want to see barkey given a chance, with felli and rodwell in the centre surely 2 strikers is an option, maybe saha playing off vellios, the rs defense is poor imo, what we will see is osman playing upfront and neville in the centre , coleman on the right like a headless chicken, barkley left in changing rooms and a totally negative formation, wouldnt suprise me to see heitenga in the centre to make it more negative and felli upfront, i havent a clue what team moyes will select anymore

the only things i wouldnt have changed are taking nev off. he was doing a great job in the centre of midfield, and if he had been their that lousy pass by denthe would not have cost us a goal.

plus cahill on his own is a waste of time. he needs another striker to play off.

Barkley didn't play yesterday coz its a done deal to man city in Jan, so says Owens uncle.
Am I missing something...is gueye injured? 3 strikers on the bench and no gueye? Found it a bit odd if hes not injured.

What would I have done diff? Drenthe left, gueye right play counter attacking. Even keep cahill upfront just behind vellios. Amokachi on the bench.

                    Howard

    Hibbert Jagielka(c) Distin Baines

    Coleman Fellaini Rodwell Drenthe
           Bilyaletdinov
                     Vellios

Fellaini primary DM/creative anchor, Rodwell in an attacking role. Bliyaletdinov & Rodwell expected to fire off shots. Drenthe & Coleman to fill up at the back post during crosses from opposite sides. Either Rodwell or Bilyaletdinov expected to stand off in shooting area when wings & backs are overlapping on their respectives sides, giving the  options of passing to shooting area or crossing into the box. Might be interesting to swap Barkley for Rodwell.

If push comes to shove, granted that no one has been particulary poor.

                      Howard
    Hibbert Jagielka(c) Distin Baines
    Coleman Bilyaletdinov Fellaini Drenthe
                    Vellios Straq

Or even a 433 with Saha coming in for Coleman
