Moyes management of Centre Fowards

I despair watching Jelavic this season , Moyes has done what has done with all the goalscorers he has bought over the years and ruined him. All Jelavic has to do is stay in the box and then bang , one touch one goal.   However Moyes wants him chasing balls down the channels and while he does this to best of his ability , his confidence in the box has been shot.

Moyes done same with Beattie , Andy Johnson , The Yak and now Jelavic .   All decent goalscorers ( some better than others i admit ) whose careers came to a halt under Moyes.

It's a shame really as Jelavic has the potential to be one of the premierships top goalscorers if managed correctly.   However all Moyes seems to want him to run himself into the ground for 90 minutes  .

This is spot on, if moyes just lets him stay in the box he would be doing what Michu is doing for Swansea

it's the same story all the time.  stick a striker up top on his own, isolate him and ruin his confidence.  no striker will ever succeed at everton

David not succeed at Everton but under Moyes. This is a true and accurate statement by gmc73, Every striker we had in the last 10 years, as suffered under DM, all the above mention and I think Jermain Beckford nurtured right could of been a great striker and we got him for nothing! Dixie dean Joe Royal Bob Latchford were put up front and told to score goals and that is what they did . Defenders and midfield defend strikers SCORE goals! DM prefare's attacking midfielder's to Center Forwards, always has done as far as I can remember

Surely chief responsibility goes to the player. He should have been dropped and given lesser games to try and score. To an ordinary punter such as I he looks sluggish and predictable and I wonder if he is actually past it.

Moyes' tactical and man management of centre forwards is awful. This is plain and simple fact and even the Moyessiah prophecists would not be able to say otherwise. The bloke could ruin Van Persie given 5 games. In saying this he couldand has however taken a struggling club and stabilised them on a shoe string budget. Rightly or wrongly I think it is time for him to go. I would say thanks for the memories but to be fair there have not been too many and this quite simply is not good enough for the club we all love. As for Phil Neville, anyone telling me to get behind the club can quite simply **** off. Phil Neville is **** and if he has any love for the club he is the captain of, when selected, he should politely request that a younger player take his place.Thats what a true leader would do.

I reckon Jelavic and Anichebe are a good pair, from what I can see, which may not be much. They seem to share the essential running around, but manage to get into positions to feed each other with good opportunities. Neither player is achieving his potential on his own, which is shame. What chance have we got of seeing them both start against Man City? Probably b.all.

Yak scored goals at every club he has been at. How out scored our strikers when he was playing for a Blackburn team on nuts way down.

Howdy, Stranger!
