I'm sick and tired of some of the people who appear on this forum every time we lose a match and ring out the MOYES SHOULD BE SACKED garbage. I'm also tired of the 4-6-0 nonsense when we have a midfielder playing as a forward. Neville can be classed as a midfielder but when he plays right back does that mean we're playing 3-7-0? When Coleman plays on the wing yet his first position is as a right back does that mean we're playing 5-5-0? Of course not! Cahill is becoming a forward purely because of his aerial ability, strength and work rate plus his distribution has never been the best for a midfielder.

The only thing that worries me is the targeting of Silva which really doesn't impress me at all.

Would like to agree with all you have said but you are moving to the dark side like the rest. We are all armchair experts, end of.

My comment seems to have inspired a lot of anger which wasn't intended. Kingmoyes wants to  'meet up to sort it' and Happyhound thinks I am a '****' all because I expressed an opinion. I suspect that between them they have a brain the size of a split pea. For the record I am 60 uears old and have spent a lot of money over my 46 years as an evertonian supporting thic club. I have supported David Moyes during his 10 years as manager but I am disiluusioned with him. During the season he bemoans the lask of quality in hs team due to lack of funds and come the transfer window he bleats about hoping he can keep his best players but admits that, if the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd., Man City etc., come along with enough money then he will have to sell. If our players are as bad as he claims (read todays pre-match comment which must have destroyed the teams confidence before a ball had been kicked) then why would other top teams want to buy them? I admire everybodys loyalty (even Kingmoyes and Happyhound) but the fans need to wake up. We will never win anything with such a negative manager. During the transfer windows he inadvertantly admits he has good players because he fears they may be targetted byt other clubs but as soon as the transfer window closes he is back to making excuses about not having any money to buy players. He can't have it both ways. The fact is we didn't even try to win today and personally I won't be wasting another penny of my hard earned money on Everton until he goes.

I'd have gone defensive away to city as well, try and shut them down and hit on the break. So got no problem with David's tactics today, it doesn't always work out. I do however get annoyed when we go 4-5-1/4-6-0 at home to Wigan and West Brom.............4-4-2 all the way Davey!

hit them on the break with fellaini cahill and osman?you having a laugh or are you utterly clueless, to hit teams on the break you need pace, something none of our players have )forward wise) just look at united with young rooney and nani that is the perfect counter trio not cahill osman and fellaini, moyes played for set peices

I understand going to Eastlands and playing for a point,  I mean what else you supposed to do when you are up against a money made team like that.  What bothers me is the execution of the strategy.  We gave the ball away within 10 seconds of getting it all day today. We need to spend more time on the training ground practising passing under pressure and winning back the ball once we lose it.  That's what they did and that's why we didn't get a point.  70% over 30% possession will beat you every time, especially against quality like that.

Moyes should be sacked? is that some sort of sick joke? we played man city away, that is one of the hardest games this season and we played well we held city off for most of the game, if we had gone for it from the start we would have got battered , they would have torn us apart with there class going forward just like they did to spurs. Thought we played some good stuff at times too.

Everton have great players but they are not used properly by a negative manager who is far to cautious. Whts is the point of playing 75% of the game against Man City with 4 strikers on the bench and none on the pitch? Fans have called for the head of Bill Kenwright. I think we are missing the point. David Moyes has never won a thing in football either as a player or a manager and his team choices and style of play never will. Time to go David. Bring in an attack minded manager. TT.

who would come to a club, with no money, paul jewell or phil brown.

You're all missing the point. Arteta took a £20,000 a week pay cut to get away from a losing team. Lack of money is just an excuse from a manager who has lost the plot.

i understand the idea of playing for a point but its how you do it. OK..i didnt watch the game unfortunately so im only going by highlights i watched but putting 11 men behind the ball isnt a good way of getting a point in my eyes. eventually ones gonna go in. I watched MOTD and they pointed out that in 2 still shots there were 11 EFC players in the shot. And the only effort on goal was the Fellaini effort near the end. I just wish sometimes against these `bigger` teams we would go for it a bit more

i reckon on weds night, WBA would have had at least 15 'shots' where all 11 men were in the shot. And they almost stole a 1-0 win. And they didn't 'go for it' against a supposedly 'bigger team'

    k. . mistake with the `shots` there....but `almost` right.

i dont think they needed to go for it so much. by all accounts we never put our foot on the pedal at all. if they had of gone for it more they couldve won it easily. its all ifs and buts really. i guess i just wanna see more a more attacking approach from us really. 4-5-1 with Cahill doesnt really get the heart pumping does it

No mate i dont disagree, but with Saha being a donut at the moment, Straq needs time to settle and vellios not the finished article, moyes is stuck a little between a rock and a hard place, but, i think things can only improve as the season goes on, and i think things will settle down with regards playing a striker from the start in the next couple of weeks when everyone starts finding there feet.
