Fans Parliament

What would the parliament do? It's a bit of a grand name for something that I assume would have little power. Fan's Council seems more apt.

The name isn't really an issue. Fan's forum, council, parliament the aim is the same.

It would provide a voice for a vast variety of supporters season ticket holders or otherwise. It would allow all and any questions to be asked and most importantly the answers would be fully published. Fan's parliaments at other clubs have proved to be very successful connecting the club closely to the fans.

It isn't about having power it is about making fans feel they are listened to and involved.

I wish i could see it as being a positive, but it really; to me smacks of having a jolly to sit with the club in some grand room, get things off your chest, and the club do what it wants to do, not what you want to do. Its the boards club, when does a club ever give a damn about supporters. We all know we are the most important part of the club after the team, but history shows you, wether its the club or the FA or EUEFA or FIFA, the fans are the last thing they care about, so long as we keep spending our money they couldnt give a sh-t. Waste of time, but good luck n all the best............

Thanks for that OVG. Im sure you understand but difficult to read all of the stuff, but i chose the minutes from the last meeting. While i can see a lot was spoken about, re:- standing on terraces, ticketing probs etc, i dont see any info on things being acted upon, or if they were , they were very menial things. It seems to me this is already done at Everton either through individual requests or through the "SHARPY'S FORUM". Its just a voice of concerns, and Sharpy or club member, giving the club line on things and saying we'll look into it or we hear what you say and bear it in mind. Maybe this is a good way of bringing attention to some issues, but does it really address what this summer on Blueroom has been like, absoloute frustration into the clubs running, ownership, investment, or is that something that we accept, as in the last statement of "trust us", from BK and RE.

Think thats a perfectly valid point mate and maybe that is something that should be put to the club if a Parliament/Council/Forum is formed

According to Matt Grayson who is an official representative of the Parliament it has had a big impact on how the club do things. Apparently, the parliament were even involved in stadium design and helped redesign part of the stadium.

I would like to say that Efor change seem a very appoachable and amiable group.

I cannot say similar about the peoples group and hope the Blue union aren't tarnished by bad elements.

E4change were invited "mistakingly" to enter into a Q&A with the BR and were more than willing to oblige.

The peoples group were also invited, a time was arranged but they didn't appear and i have heard nothing since.

Transparency seems to be an issue not only within our Boardroom but also within certain areas of the The Blue Union.

    Only my opinion like

I can't speak for them but will happily speak for Evertonians for Change or the Union. If anyone has any questions, wants to do a Q&A or anything then feel free to chuck a thread up, a sticky or whatever
