Does it sit right with me...? Does it feel and look right in my head and in my stomach when I think about the issue or perhaps see a gay or lesbian couple with a child somewhere?
The answer to all those questions, if I'm completely honest, is no.
Do I think my own prejudices should dictate how society shapes itself in its own the best interests? The answer is again no.
Do I think that I should know better. I do actually. Do I think the relentless exposer to what is supposed to be right and wrong these days through marketing, religion and the media offers an overly defined and restricted view of what is expected of us as humans? I do. Do I think that takes place at far to earlier an age? Shockingly so.
Do I accept my own prejudices, my own gut reactions on this subject are probably coloured by this, for want of a better word, programming? I think so.... but mainly, and despite my own reactions to such things I'd like to think that as an adult, you can look at the reality, at the facts, and the way justice, social or otherwise, should work and say.... Yes, there is no real reason why I'd prefer to avoid doing business with a indian. And gay marriage should be a human right, and so should same sex adoption. End of.
Other than that I did find it funny how those of an anti gay bent would, and continue to, do and say anything other than explain their reasons their views on this. From claiming to be offended, faux righteous indignation, claiming their right free speech was being infringed upon...even when people are actively asking for them to express their views.... to mild abuse and not returning to the forum to a day or two.
And now it appear thats moved on to a equally false, I don't adhere to your rules...I can make my own mind up...sheeple style stance. When really, you just sound like this:

Posts: 3,003March 8 like I said..everyone to their own but dont try and convince me..if i think queers being queers is wrong then thats my opinion and i'm entitled to it....got beat up by a gang of blacks once..does that mean i hate all blacks... no....do i hate pakistanis ..no ..do i hate pakistanis who think they're Ali g and better than everyone else ..yes..do i hate religion...no.... do i hate religion being pushed down my throat....yes..do i hate political correctness...no.. do i hate political correctness being pushed on to me as an argument telling me what i can/cant say, do or believe....yes...simple rules to live my simple life by..i mind my own business...you mind yours...simples...

Posts: 3,003March 8 TBH most of them i've met do...i have a number of "friends" who are of the brown channel persuassion...but they know not to bother me...as i dont bother them...what irks though is the way they can say almost anything and it not be "challenged" because they're bent...I say it and all hell breaks loose....

Offended, no, surprised and disappointed, yes. You and Idi were two of a handful I had respect for. I actually think you have explained yourself, Idi played the ignorance card and posted some links. Basically proving me right. Sonetimes people are not what you thought. Not the end of the world but disappointing all the same. -
