    his corners have been poor, but his link up play has been brilliant today.  Was involved in the combination that led to the goal too.  sometimes I wonder if I'm watching the same game as you lot.

    Yes he was involved in the goal... but he has put in soo many poor crosses/corners and given the ball away cheaply far too many times... you are watching the same game... you are just seeing it wrongly... that is all... you are forgiven...

    hang, isnt this the guy who's link up play with Baines was described as like barcelona earlier this season, and was brilliant in many games second half of last season. Goldfish memories?

    i will reiterate what me feeds and beano said, we were not arsed if he came back or not.

    why spend 4 million on a 30 year old player when you have a small budget and there is no resale value?

    its not a scape goat for me, i just think taking players back isnt really looking to the future and i said this at the time....

    Pienaar has suffered a dip in form the 2nd half of season but so have others,osman,fellaini, even baines.
    There are reasons for this;
    Last season he hardly played at spurs and came to us fresh.His form was immense but so were his fitness levels compared to the rest.
    A very high percentage of our play goes thru baines&pienaar,so they are getting special attention with teams doubling up and they are more likely to tire quicker

    Personally i would sub him& others around the 65 min mark to bring on Oviedo,Kennedy etc...
