drop osman for who exactly ?
he's the only creative central midfielder we've got. gibson just protects the back 4 and plays simple balls, fellaini either breaks up play or is used as a target man. barkley is not ready. hitzleberger for one is average and 2 has no creativity
osman is the only one who can get on the ball and create something. thats why a lot of people have compared him to a poors man iniesta. if you take ossie out of our side we will become even more boring and predictable than we already are.
what are we supposed to do - play 2 holders (gibson and hitzleberger) with fellaini playing behind the slow and unmobile jelavic or the donkey anichebe? well thats exciting isn't it. play long balls up to fellaini all day and struggle to break down a team as poor as norwich. we'd be lucky to win the game. if norwich scored first i couldn't see our side breaking them down. simple as that

Posts: 5,124February 22 osmans been a very good player for us, when osman plays well we play well, osmans not been playing well last month or 2 and niether have we :) i would rest him he looks tired, for who ? theres plenty of options behind jelavic and drop felli back into the centre

osman 2 assists this season not great really is it, chances created 18 , pienaar 4 assists chances creasted 52 baines 3 assists 85 chances created lol , can see why were not winning or looking as good lately, teams have stopped pienaar and baines linking up well and we are not creating as many chances, im not criticising osman but to say we definately need him is wide of the mark, i think pienaar or mirallas moving behind jelavic and felli dropping back in centre wouldnt hinder us at all. theres lots of options without a TIRED osman. -

I concur, but lets not think that is the answer to our poor recent form. The right side of the team has been very poor, Neville, Mirallas hasnt worked, need Coleman back even if his defensive side is questionable, though i think its improving. Weve had the problems with Heitinga, and ive got a feeling Distin hasnt been at his best. Gibson hasnt got going yet since his return, and Howard has had his poor momments, so its all over the pitch things need to be improving not just to single out Osman, thats what gets my goat, or ewe or whatevers available really...... -

his passing is a bit below par but his positioning is still top draw -

Concur similar with me and Heitinga
Allof our defenders have made mistakes yet people focus on one which doesn't help.
Ossie just needs a break as do a few of our boys who have played nearly all 26 games this season.
we have a squad we should utilise it -
