I just read a newspaper from Jan. 30th. In it D.M. said "we have done well but we need a couple of new players." Has Leroy Fer been injured since we turned him down?

Just a thought... if he does happen to get injured say in the next 5 years (the length of the contract we would have offered)... can someone who thinks it was wise not to take the risk come on here and say "nerrrrr"...

My thought was that Davie needed two new players. If your car or machine needed a couple new parts you wouldn't be surprised that it packed in if you didn't get them. :-(

Time to forget about the January tranfser window........we're only making excuses for ourselves......our squad was good enough before christmas, so it should be good enough now......
lots of our main players have missed parts of the season, so should be still fresh going into the remainder of the season.....there's really only 3 players who we need to keep an eye on (Baines, Osman & PIenaar)......
we're still waiting on Mirallas to get back to full fitness...and coleman will add more pace & attack to our right side too when he gets back.....so we're their both in the team, i think we'll see things pick up again....

Why is everyone moaning? Were still in with a shout at 4th place, still in the F.A Cup so forgetting the Leeds game we are right on track for where we wanted to be at this point in the season.

People forget that before the season began to be in with a chance of fourth and a realistic chance of another semi final would of capped off a successful season.

If we finish 8th get beat by oldham and let the RS overtake us then you can moan.

Just seems to me Moyes has been pretty negative lately.....amd thats probably getting into the players heads now too.....

we're actually in a great position right now.......2 home games in the cup (against relegation threatened teams) are between us and another wembley semi final.....if we don't reach wembley i'll be shocked (and massively plssed off)......so we can use that cup run to fire us on in the league (like last season)......listen i don't expect us to come 4th, but we have a decent shot at it......

Moyes bottled it last season........I hope he doesn't do it again this year.......time to start talking up our team and be positive....

Why do you keep saying this. It's _bollox!
Right up to Carrolls winner, we had the exact same formation as we did at the start.
Do you think Moyes told the players to spend the 2nd half cmaped out on the edge of their own penalty box/

    Raking over old coals now!

Before Carrolls winner?, well what was that formation he played against the RS at their place, never forgive him for that , a derby match and he does that, thats what i call Bollox..................

It gave us a better chance against Sunderland in the cup quarter final. That's what mattered most at the time.

Well there ya go, a wool as Tone would put it. Derby not important ehhh ? defo a wool, jeeeez and im a wool but i know what hurts most and it aint losing to Sunderland in the cup mate.....

Nobody said it wasn't important. You're intentionally misquoting me. We weren't gonna have a chance of winning the Premier League if we won at Anfield. Winning at Sunderland did give us a chance to win something. But you know this.

By the way. It's not like Moyes put out the reserves at Anfield. Adding Jelavic for Straq and maybe Osman for Rodwell were all that would have improved the team.

Beggars belief, totally Moysed your are, he got it wrong; dont defend it, very wrong. "An if ya know yer history", im sure you sing it every week, well start reading it mate......

Well when we did pick our strongest available team against them at Goodison and at Wembley, we didn't fare much better did we?

I know our history thanks. All about winning trophies much moreso than winning derby's mate.

Hypothetical question for ya Howie. If we get to the fa cup quarter final again this year against Wigan (as we should), and someone offered you a choice between winning that or winning at Anfield near the end of the season and we could only win one of them, which would you choose? Honestly?

Dont have to think about it mate, beating the RS at home and away anytime....its not a heart breaker not going to Wembley when ive seen us there so many times mate. The chances for Wembley comes every year a game of knockout footie. The Derby is twice a year and bragging rights are everything, as i said before and you claim to have read it, "History"............

cause our full backs (Baines in particular) never got forward once we went ahead...and jelavic was isolated as f*ck.....moyes was too negative, it was a **** Liverpool team with a reserve goalie, and rather than attack for a second goal, we sat back and invited Liverpool to attack us....
The game before the derby we played Sunderland...we attacked & scored 4, played some fantastic stuff too.....the game after the derby, we went to old Trafford, we attacked & we scored 4 goals.....so why not attack at Wembley, we were the form team in the league, and jelavic was on fire......we didn't attack because Moyes was too cautious, too negative....
