Posts: 5,124February 12 another case of over hyping a young player, its not just supporters who get high expectations, the club build up these players as future world beaters, they did the same with rodwell, i remember cahill saying barkley is the best young player hes seen by a mile and that included rooney, yet ive not even seen a hint of him being anything more than an average player. moyes record with young players is shocking really. we have developed very few over the years

Posts: 24,216February 12 people forget that every young player that comes through and makes it there will be hundreds that dont.on top of that, the player has to stay level headed, keep off the drink, be dedicated and disciplined.If Ross (and im not saying he does) enjoys a night out, likes a drink etc. Then the chances are he wont make it. Its why Alex Feguson likes his players to get married off at a young age in the hope it settles them down and keeps thm away from the bright lights of the city and the lure of girls, drink etc........

Posts: 101February 12 You lot make it sound like Rodwell was a flop. He is still only 21 and, in his defense, did suffer some injury setbacks during his time at Goodison. I still expect him to develop into a great player... assuming he finds his way out of Man City.

Posts: 7,525February 13 Just seen a post by a Leeds fan to an EFC website, saying the Leeds fans rated him but Warnock is a no0 bed, playes him out of position on the wing, apparently they are not enamoured with Warnock as he does this with other players including their Captain who has been playing right back until recently as opposed to his natural position of Centre back....
