But over all, I doubt anyone will do any better if I'm honest.

if somebody came in though mate, and they did as equally as 'well' as Moyes has done in the league, BUT, they brought us a trophy (Laudrup has done it at Swansea in his first season) then that would be considered better than what Moyes has done in 11 years?

There are plenty of team's who appear to have fluked a cup.... there are many, many more that haven't and there are a lot who look like they should have won a cup in the last ten years and haven't.

I suppose the point is. No one has done as consistantly well in the league as Moyes on a similar budget. I don't think that can be overlooked.

People think that anyone coming in can be expected to improve on what Moyes has done. If they can do a similar job, BUT win a cup. Portsmouth also won a cup.

I just don't think that is a reasonable expectation at all.

You get what you pay for, you cut your cloth accordingly. Everton do not have the resources to do well everywhere. Everton are going to be dissappointing a lot of the time because we just don't have enough of the stuff that makes football clubs work well these days. I doubt Moyes managing someone else will change that.

And its not like there are people queueing up to buy the club either.

I know mate, and i do see the logic both for and against, i jsut think at times we see Moyes like a 'god' like character thats untouchable and he is not.
