Been there once for Cowes week, from what I could gather apart from Cowes week it's where you go to die, high unemployment =
cheap housing, only decent food is when London chefs come in for Cowes week and open pop up restaurants, have fun !

i think the place to get the best food on the isle of wight is parkhurst prison..apparently the food is top notch, and the full time staff have lots of intresting stories to tell..i believe peter sutcliffe is very popular among visiting guests there wanting him to regail them with his adventures while they tuck into their food..probably best to book in advance!!
