Fellaini...

At times last night he was superb. He really came into his own when they put him up behind Velios with Tiny dropping back. It helped Tiny as well. He was full of energy (though gave away two silly freekicks in dangerous positions).

Felli was man of the match for me. Though the Mini Mike did well too - people got on his back for making a couple of mistakes but for me he is going to do that when he is trying to create (which he did for Phil The Hammer Neville).

I didnt like people getting on Stracq's back just because (its big) he didnt jump aimlessly to win the big punts up field. His running off the ball and the intelligence he displayed in trying to win second balls or shield the ball and open up an opportunity showed potential to be a very good player.

Phil got done for the peno but standing where I was it was on obvious dive - but then the ref if going to give them all day long.

We kept the ball well at times - though Johnny doesnt appear to understand that concept (hoof). Final third is where we need to improve and it was Felli (with some excellent play from Vellios) that made the difference.

Funny moment of the match - apart from the Yam Yam singing - was Mucha knocking Vellios out!

Yeah mate i agree with the final third bit, i thought we looked sure and composed, just lacked a little idea when in the final third, however, we kept plugging away at it and eventually found a way to unlock them, its a game of chess at times is football, and sometimes it takes longer than others to find the way in!

P.s I thought Drenthe excelled as the game went on, he started running the show, last 15 minutes or so and then extra time.

Looked good and it worked well when he switched to the right and was able to come inside - he likes the central position!

That was another great move from Moyes switching the wingers, gave us a bit more added impotous!

I think sometimes we just need to forget all this fancy passing about stuff and sometimes just go route one if we're having trouble breaking down a team sitting back. When you've got two big guys upfront who can easily win headers in Velios, Stracq and Fellaini its not always the worst decision because you've moved much further up the pitch in a quicker amount of time.

i think felli really shows his team spirit in the last quarters of games when we`re not doing so well, its hard to miss a heart like his on the pitch.

I actually don't think he played as well as he normally does last night. He gave the ball away a little more but I'm not saying he played badly, and its probably only because he is normally so good that I am saying this. He scored a brilliant goal though, and a crucial one.
