We have to go for the FA Cup

In my opinion we will not get into the Champions League, and we could even finish 7th and miss out on the Europa League, which is why I really want us to go all out for the FA Cup. The draws have been kind to us so far, and if we can get past Oldham we will only be three games away from winning the cup. If we want to finish 4th, then we will have to won most of our games from now to the end of the season, and we will also need Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs to drop quite a few points, which is quite a lot to ask for. This is why I believe that the FA Cup is definitely our best chance of success this season as this squad is in my opinion, the best squad Moyes has ever had, and we can beat anyone on our day. So lets make winning the FA Cup our priority for this season, not finishing 4th.

Well obviously... But I believe we should make the FA Cup our priority over finishing 4th.

As the guys have said on other threads,no one is running away with the 3rd & 4th place.

String of results for anyone could comfortably put them in 3rd.

Lets hope our '2nd half of season' syndrome kicks in and we can laff at the clubs spending millions,to get near us,spending nothing.,

our second half of the season form normally kicks in around february, january not normally that great and once february comes away we go, we seem a little tired at the moment and some players need a rest, osman pienaar jelavic and even felli look a little jaded

Exactly. Other teams around us all got to play Europe remember.
It's a tough run in with a lot of the top teams away but, as you say, if our 2nd half syndrome kicks in then everything is up for grabs.

Everton slip up against villa, united stretch the lead at the top = everton taking 3 points at united on Sunday. Moyes is making the FA Cup a priority with strong teams being fielded in both rounds so far, however we do not need the RS and Arsenal to neccesarilly drop points because we're above em!

FA cup will be difficult to win but still very possible as we can not only match but better anyone on our day. Most top teams are still left in it which whatever way u look at it is still a good thing as if we win it we are in Europe next season and the fact top sides are still left means if any of them win it ie Utd, City, Chelsea, Everton, Arsenal win it that means top 7 in league qualify for Europe.
