    Really confused as to y we did not go straight in for him. If we had 8.5 mill for Fer im sure we had 1.5 for Holtby.

    Exactly sort of player we needed. Maybe we wanted to use all our funds to sign Fer however we waited until last min. We should have attempted to sign Fer at start of window not the end, at least we would of had more time to bring in a replacement or Holtby.

    Maybe the funds came late in this transfer window, that's what it seems like.

    we always leave it to last minute, why wait untill last day to sign 18 year old full back? surely we could of got him weeks ago , unless we had no intention of signing him this window but because wigan went for him it forced our hand

    he's a attacking midfielder no?........so he'd have been playing instead of either Osman & Fellaini.....so unlikely he'd have got a game.....we also have Pienaar & Mirallas who can play in that position.....

    we needed a defensive midfielder, so Neville never has to play in our midfield again.....when Gibson gets injured again (nad he will), we're f*cked again....

    So Holtby might be a nice player, but he wasn't a priority, especially if Moyes thought he was gonna get Fer (whom he clearly rates much higher than Holtby)

    fellainis a defensive midfielder played out of position another good attacking midfielder would of seen fellaini drop back , fellainis got about as much creativity as neville , all hes good for in behind jelavic is to try knock down the long ball.

    Even if the funds had came abit later he was on a free transfer in the summer. Some boyhood Everton fan choosing go to spurs without bothering to sell himself to Everton. His dad must be FUMMMMIN

    As cjohno already said Fellaini would join Gibson further back in Midfield with Holtby playing behind striker. Would allow him Pienaar and Mirallas to switch positions. We would also have Osman to come in and do a job in either role he plays now or a more attacking role
