Found this on the 'ho ate all the pies' website, its similar to a video already on Youtube, but you will never tire of seeing some of the save the big man pulled off

My favourites are the one man show he put up against Coventry away, the double save from Peter Beardsley and John Aldridge, the point blank header at tottenham and the flick round the post against Villa away

I know what you mean, the green and silver 1 was my favourite, when you used to watch him play the confidence that he gave the back 4 was always evident and you can see it in that video as well, he pulls off world class saves and Snods and Waggy and countless others just walk away as if nothing happened.

Rumour has it when he played for Bury he was told to give the strikers a break during training because they couldn't get anything past him

1981 - 1989 being the 8yrs i regularly went to see Everton Home & Away, i may be a little biast, but not only was Big Nev Everton's Greatest Ever Goalkeeper, but in MY opinion was the World's Best in the Mid 80's. I remember being in the Gwlady's Street end for an evening game v WBA which we won 4.1..........and had it not been for Southall we'd have lost!!

By the way, Tim Howard is our Best Keeper since Nev.

i had my season ticket from 86 until 89 and i used to go away as well and he was without doubt the best goalkeeper in the world at the time, how he kept getting overlooked by Walter Zenga of InterMilan was bewildering.

Nevs best performance for me was Coventry Away sometime in the 80's (was it 1988?) and he single handedly kept the Coventry attack at bay, including a penalty save from Brian Kilcline who absolutely smashed it
