however..with our sales of players and saving on salaries of both players out on loan and aforementioned sales etc...our debt must have substantially been reduced...therefore
where as say chelsea say they'll offer £20 mill for barkeley..the boot now goes back onto our foot as we dont really need to sell anyone anymore...to a point...
my point being we no need to be held to ransom over our players and if they do come knocking for barkeley if WE wish to sell.......we should be asking a lot more than £20 million..IMO..... -
Posts: 3,455September 2011 Well, Chelsea can't do anything until January....and Barkley will have turned 18 by then and will have been offered a pro contract by then
If it has been signed, we can keep him for another good while
If it hasn't been, alarm bells will have to ring and we'll have to look closely at it!

Posts: 1,094September 2011 Quite right mate, we have made the shift from sell to get money, to sell to buy again, like you say, this gives us a solid negotiating stand point again in that we no longer need to sell, means more money for the players we do sell.
I would still take 20mil for Fellaini though. As long as we keep Baines I am okay, though personally I would want to keep Ross as well.
