Mirallas situation

    Mirallas has been in and out of the physio room with strains and complaints and it has kept him out of the squad. Fair enough its been a pretty big injury but what i dont understand is why Mirallas wasnt playing reserve team football before being thrown into the first team squad.

    When players like Gibson, Distin and Rodwell have been injured they would play short competitive roles within the reserve team before pushing themselves back into the squad.

    After the Southampton game I was glad he was back and got through the game without any signs of trouble but after the game today it makes me worry about this lads future at the club. We bought him for 5 mil which for us is alot of money and at the beginning of the season it looked like Moyes' best ever buy, i just wish his injury troubles are resounded before he's thrown into top flight football again and that is best being achieved by playing him in reserve games and slowly but surely allowing him to step up in his own due time otherwise his injuries will set not only his everton career but his entire career backwards

    Moyes said during the week he had hoped to play mirallas in a reserve game, but because of the bad weather there wasn't a game on....
    Hindsight is great now, maybe he rushed him back again, but we missed his quality, and yesterday was a big game.....

    Atleast he got injured before the window closes, maybe moyes can bring someone in on loan

    Moyes said he doesn't think the injury is as bad as first feared.

    Expect him to be out til after Easter then!

    Gibson didnt have any short games for reserves, was thrown straight back in against Spuds i think it was, to everyones amazement, where is he now?.....

    No i remember Gibbo played 60 minutes for the reserve team before he came back which worked but was short lived as he got injured again :/
