Jelavic's lack of cutting edge

Could it be the result of not having had a proper rest over the summer?

Last season through the WC he was on fire, he had a short break and then back into the most energetic league there is. It was his first WC and his body and mind weren't accustomed to what is basically 22 straight months of football. Torres suffered the same way, but Jelavic is all about positioning, timing and lethal finishing.

Unlike Torres, Nikica Jelavic will get back to top form, I feel it in my bones. ;-)

Jela just ain't very quick or mobile, and as such doesn't work very hard. Starting to look like a confidence player too.

Still not bad for what we paid, and he will start scoring again

hes already paid for himself last season but i cant wait to see him firin on all cylinders again. couple o months ago i was laughin at cisse suddenly losin it n was glad jela hadnt followed suit, then he did, but he will come good again. it cant be fluke to get 27 first touch goals on t bounce, thats a ridiculous record that only natural goalscorer could get. i bet probably noone else ever did that. I reckon maybe a couple games benched n Vellios gets to show wot hes made of n then get em in competition w each other .... cant hurt.

if he was playing for any other team apart from everton he would be banging goals in for fun.  what is he supposed to do with a big lanky, slow, unmobile taget man playing being him?

jelavic has no pace or mobility.  he needs players around doing lots of running, moving around, creating space etc....

he misses Cahill' movement making space for him imo, Fellaini isnt the player we need to be playing off the striker, ive said it before and i'll say it again we need creativity and/or a player that will pull defenders everywhere to make space for the striker to score

We rely on individuals too much because the club cant afford more people of the same caliber like other clubs and they arnt always going to be on the top of their game

he wants to be scott parker n he was mint at that last season but untill t transfer window opened he was becomin t best AM in t prem. I really hope im right n goes mint again next week but put urself in his shoes at 24. I know i made some pretty retarded decisions at that age. Hes prob got his agent on his case about "the big move" but noone likes change. He will stay n get us champos, i hope. Hes atleast a 93 I swear.

completely disagree, he does a good job there, but nothing outstanding, we are a better team when he plays deep along side gibson (when he's fit) we need more of an attacking threat behind the striker, felli aint creative enough imo

I recon he is a decent attacking mid...but it's at the detriment to our style of play and the striker he plays up there with. Mid field gets missed out and the ball just gets lumped up to his chest.

Get a creative player to sit in behind jelavic...pass the ball through midfield instead of long ball and his goals would return

he might turn out to be a big game player but cant see him hitting the form he had when he first came
