Blueyou said:I'll happily take 20+ million for him, considering the position we are in. He's only played a handful of games and isn't even a first team regular yet.

barkley is no rooney, I said before he reminds me of milner when he was the same age. But he needs games.
its no use saying how good barkley is and then moyes not playing him. we went through the same thing with rodwell,
Beano said:There's no doubt that barkley WILL be sold. It's only a matter of when!
Don't forget, as of now, Barkley is only contracted up to Summer 2013 - the same as Fellaini - and if his contract ran down, we'd lose him for a nominal development compensation fee of virtually 5p!

No. Everton will ATTEMPT to tie him down to a 5 year deal! Just like Everton have been ATTEMPTING to do likewise with Fellaini!
You can bring a horse to water.....
When a contract is running out, the players come out with the same crap "I will wait until the end of the season to see whaty position the team is in" or " I will wait until the end of the season when during the summer break".
there just excuses so the contract can run down another 12 months. fellaini I can see bring sold in january if we get at least 15m for him.
Barkley will be interesting to see, does he remain loyal and sign a new contract, or does his agent have a word with him and say "run your contract down and your a shoe in for one of the top teams to take a gamble on you"

And just for the record, im sure Barkley cant sign a new deal until he is 18 or something, isnt there something in the rules which say a player has to be 18 or something or other to sign a long term deal???

Yes, the 2 and a half year deal we game him when he turned 17 was the max allowed
