Everton outbid for M'Vila...

Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila has disappointed a host of Premier League sides by completing a £9.6m move to Russian club Rubin Kazan.

M'Vila was wanted by QPR and Fulham, while the previously unnamed English team keen to sign the 22-year-old France international were Everton.

But he has signed a four-year contract with Rubin worth £3.75m a year after tax, including a £16.6m buyout clause

Chief among those suitors was QPR, with boss Harry Redknapp saying the Hoops were "very close" to signing the Frenchman.

They made a bid of £6.2m, rising to £6.6m if they avoided relegation, but M'Vila was reluctant to join the Premier League's bottom side

He preferred a move to Everton, who were also prepared to offer £6.2m rising to £6.6m but it may have been split into two payments - £3.3m in January followed in the summer by £2.9m or £3.3m if they qualified for the Champions League.

Given that the account above makes no reference of a wagon wheel being included anywhere in the deal I suspect it to be a false story.

Making a **** of the paperwork last time out will have alerted a lot of people to a Moyes purchase.... they are probably holding out to see if they can get a higher price now.

would love to know what happened by the scenes that evening when Moyes was told the deal couldn't happen......

and also the day the club released they had f*cked up with the Gosling, costing Moyes about £4m in transfer money.....

    Lance armstrongs ?

they've depreciated quite a bit since the extra weight was water weight from supplements ... maybe though the scarcity factor could bump up the value

We aint signing anyone until the club buy a new fax machine as the current one is 'The grand old lady of the office' and has been at the club longer than Moyes. Cant quite keep up with the faxes and it keeps adding a couple of 0's onto every transfer figure BK quotes.

Seen as we have about 3m to spend then........who'd have Mohamed Diame?.........£3.5m release clause.......

can't say i've seen much of him myself, but seems to have been playing well for west ham this season....
handy to have with Gibbo's injury history....
