when i say what im about to im not trying to salvage anything from last nights game .... we were shit_ .... BUT ... it did happen to be our second straight clean sheet .... i know we probably shouldnt have got it but there is something to say mentally about not getting scored on in a while ... i think if we can (somehow) keep another few in the next run of games we will be up in front of tottscum ... possibly chelski

understand that im not talking about the performance ... i mean that the fact that we haven't been scored on in two games that will give us a mental edge that our defense hasn't had all year

To be honest, id rather outscore the other team like we have been doing than keep a clean sheet and not score ourselves

My main concern from last night is what Mr Moyes said after, a bit of a contradiction if ya ask me. We were poor and lucky really to get a draw when on the 1st half we could have been chasing the game. However Mr Moyes still thinks we have as good a chance as anyone to get 4th( Arsenal, Spurs, RS, and poss 1 or 2 others) and then says " a draw here isnt a bad result" !!!!
Im sorry but if were good enough for 4th, a draw at Soton isnt a good result, especially as they were with a new Manager of only 3 days and their crowd chanting the name of the previous Manager. I think we need a reality check or at least buck up our ideas, and start walking the walk instead of all this rhetoric that recent results havent warranted.
Not having a go just being a bit more realistic as to where we are results and performance wise at the momment.

Lets just settle it at this, with Man utd away the fixture afterwards, WBA and Villa at home is a MUST 6 points....with the RS going to Arsenal and City. Then lets ava look at things.

as i say in my post there is nothing to be salvaged from last night ... i am just pointing out that it could give us a psychological edge ... i do think however that they are one of the struggling teams that really shouldn't be there ... they are better than who they are around ... they have some real quality players that i want to take when/if they go down ... ramirez lallana clyne
