its based on actual events but i dont know how much liberty was taken with the story writing ... im pretty sure they talked to a member of the seal team about it ... i thought the movie missed a chance to be more critical of the torture methods we (im american) used in obtaining this info ... also i think the premise of the main character was shite_ ... i think she was kinda supposed to be a microcosmic view of what america went through and in the end she didnt learn anything she just was relieved it was over and (quite rightly) had ambiguous feelings about her whole stay in iraq/afghanistan/pakistan ... all in all i would not give over a dime to see a movie that ultimately, no matter what the director intended it to be, will just be us americans giving a loud hoorah! at the end ... sometimes (a lot of times) i feel like moving to canada
