the problem moyes has with strikers is he wants his forward players to be workhorses, charging down the full backs , basically covering a lot of ground defensively, the yak and beattie were not that type of player, why i dont think we will have a 20 goal a season striker, the yak likes to do his running onto through balls and likes to be johny on the spot, beattie the same, there box players, goalscorers not defenders, think why the yak and beattie never fit in to moyesys plans in the end, he tried to change them and failed, AJ did well as he was a willing runner, same as bent really he wasnt great but would put in a shift, same reason beckford never really worked out, he wasnt a willing workhorse.

seems the daily express is reporting that Saha was left out of the squad at the weekend for refusing to play in the reserve game midweek. Anyone else heard that?

Is this not getting on with strikers thing just guesswork though?
The only ones I can think of is having a go at Anichebe, Rooney and on his first day Radzinsky, don't think he ever had any issues with the others, doesn't seem like that sort of person to be honest.

He also had bust ups with Ferguson,Beckford,Yakubu,Vaughan,Jo,Beattie and Johnson

Yes, agreed.  Moyes first thought is always defense at the cost of playing more attacking football, attacking football is too risky for Moyes.  If you are striker, especially if you play best feeding of another striker, you got to get peeed of.  And how must our recognised strikers feel when Cahill our prolific goalscorer, gets picked to play up front ahead of them
