is why, when we can pass it so well, are we just smashing it forward and making it easy for their CB's? Its not worked all night, why persist?

all i can think is that is shows how much Gibson adds to our play... when he is out we sit two player deep and launch balls forward....

Except we've only got Fellaini and Anichebe to get the long balls.

Horrible night.......4th spot is slipping away.....and we're letting Liverpool creep nearer us too....

Players showed no fight or hunger tonight......fair play to the Southampton, they worked their a$$es off...why didn't our guys?!.....

Tbh mate I'd quite like Moyes to have £100m to burn. He'd spend it right and we'd be top of the league. Is that a bad wish?

Hey, Neville played well today. Weird how when his brother bigs him up pre-match he performs. Hope he does it every week now.

we can't pass it well with neville in midfield though.  he doesn't make himself available for the ball and when he does get the ball he panics cos he's got absolutely no composure what so ever.  we need gibson in there badly

Neville was RB for pretty much all second half. It isn't him (well it is, but it wasn't today). It was the team in general. They lacked the confidence and sharpness they used to have due to the 9 day break. I don't think I've ever seen Jelavic miss a tap-in that badly.

Agree with that, for a team that could put themselves 1point from 4th there seemed to be no hunger, is it the tactics or have we become complacent ?

You reckon he's not premeirship class, never has been ,he must have some seriously uncompromising photos of DM to even make the squad

No, he holds us together. I really didn't rate him but after today I've noticed just how important his experience can be. Sure, he may not be technically gifted, but he reads the game well.
