I'm gauging success along the lines of other clubs that have had takeovers mate, Chelsea, Man City being the 2 that obviously spring to mind.....

The point of the post is, that money and takeovers don't always = success.

Granted things could change in a year 2 or 5 years time.....but at the 2 clubs ive mentioned, it was more or less instant success.....

Owners with right advisers will always succeed....  Its business that we fail on big time...

We haven't had a SNIFF of anyone wanting us, something is not right... Its more than just the stadium

It is more than just the stadium. There is also Liverpool's global fan base. Any involvment you have with Everton automatically, as a brand/sponsor involvment, irritates Liverpools global fanbase. Which is a fanbase largely comprised of gullible morons. Lots of gullible morons are a marketing man dream, so its not the greatest of positions to start from. And then there is the wealth of the fanbase to consider.

There has only been one owner prepared to spent those problems away, Abu Dhabi. Roman knew what he was doing when buying a club with the richest fanbase in the UK.

Clubs have been sold and will continue to be sold. It's only when one is sold to someone with money (and is willing to spend it) that a club rises up the table like City did.
