Both I think, Spurs look pretty tasty but Liverpool really helped them, boys v smaller boys today.. Can't wait to they try themselves against the Everton men, show em how its actually done.

Two men off give it a slighty unrealistic final score....but from what I saw the RS were second best right from the start.

Dalglish's face was a picture. Pressure on already?

king kenny had better get his act together quick or he'll be off to the tower. after the money he's spent that side was a shambles. only watched the first half mind, but i reckon he's on probation now, two losses on the trot and a third to come when we get them.

spurs wont get anywhere near 4th, reason why they wont because king wont be fit all season, they are twice the team when he is fit because he is head and shoulders the best english central defender, just cant play to often.

Spurs were decent but I think the RS midfield forgot to turn up. Carroll is sort of a cross between a pikey and a werewolf, Suarez is one horrible dirty diving cheating little turd. Fits in well tbh.

The RS never like playing Spurs so a day in the capital was never going to be high on their priority list.

Not bein funny but I said this in the summer - Adam (okay) Henderson (rubbish) Downing (not really that good) Carroll (a few good months) Suarez (good player). They've  lost Meireles, Torrers, Stevie G (through injury). They are weaker than last year!

Spurs are a great team. To say they wont finish anywhere near 4th I think is way off the mark. Im fairly certain they will get 4th. If they can keep Modric and Parker in the middle they are gonna take some beating. They even had VDV on the bench which says it all about their squad really

Spurs are not a great team, they are a good team. Great gets overused by football fans and journalists and it really grinds my gears. Spurs were the better team from the start but Liverpool just got everything wrong and couldn't keep their cool. Plus if your going to play Carroll you can't pass it to his feet because he has the first touch of the proverbial donkey. Doesn't help when your players cant tackle but Kenny isn't the new Messiah.

On a plus point it did mean that the football phone ins were very entertaining and seeing their 100 million pounds worth of attacking "talent" fail to score for the 2nd game running.

Think most people expected the ref to play a part in their next game with the way dogleash had been carrying on.

Doubt anyone thought it would turn into a 4-0 loss and 9 men on the pitch though!

Spurs were fantastic, and that was why they won 4-0. Its not that Liverpool played badly, they lost because Spurs played so well.

'Spurs were fantastic, and that was why they won 4-0.'

dont think so. lfc were only a goal down for most of the game and they only had ten  men on the pitch.

it wasnt until lfc lost a second player that spurs managed to score again.

so, against 9 men! i dont reckon it proves a lot.

Knoxy, beating 9 man liverpool in the league probably doesn't prove all that much as you say... but at least they are through to the next round!

Any team that plays with 9 men is going to struggle. Even before they had a man sent off Spurs played better than them. I still think that Liverpool have a better squad than Spurs though.
