As I dont get to the UK at all. I am wondering how he is playing so far? As he says himself this is a big year for him. Hopefully he stays injury free so we can get the best out of him.

the pappers and managers like alex ferguson have mouled him with speculation, leaving him off his best in my opinion so i think we just need to wait and see.
he`s playing full games each week now tho which will hopefully leave him to make a solid foundation on his own.

Completely disagree. Although I didn't see the first half, I listened on Radio City, and the commentators were saying that Rodwell was putting a good shift in. I went to high school with Jack, and we played in the same high school football team together, and it was always his issue that he wasn't that tough on the pitch, so I'm glad Moyes has told him to go and get stuck in.

I thought he was ok yesterday. I think after last season a run of games where he just gets about what he's suppose to do without much fuss will do him good and help him improve.

He will hit form - it's only a matter of time.
I like to think he's edging closer to it! Slowly - but getting there!

I still have faith in him!

Big expectations and speculation didnt help him. I think Ross Barkley coming along might be the best thing for him - a chance to get on with it out of the limelight.

I do think he can deliver big time; and I hope he and Felli can gel as a partnership.

Played well yesterday, nothing spectaculrly good or bad, certainly didn't stand out as a poor player though.

Agree with this to an extent. There was a time when Rodwell and Gosling we the players bearing into the first team and Rodwell was the star and people were talking about him turning into the player (box to box midfielder, as appose the central defender also mentioned as his destination) that Gosling thought he would be... Rodwell seemed to be the success story without actually being a success, if that makes sense... and when compared to Gosling.

Think Barkley coming in as he has and taking the spotlight off Rodwell will do him some good!

After the world cup all the talk was of Rodders walking into the england team! He has the ability and a bit of game time and he will be a big player

average, nothing more, sometimes went missing.

the bad thing is 2 years ago when he hit top form, we should of sold him then.  he may/maynot have made it but that wouldnt have been our problem.

but now we are going to see whether he is a top quality player or just another average premier league player.  He isnt a youngster anymore and will be 21 this season.  If he doesent produce the goods this season, we can forget about the top clubs coming in for him,

Young players always go through rough patches in their career (look at Micah Ricahrds) and don't forget he had an injury hit season last year. I don't think he will be a future England captain but will become a top Prem player. In regards of his age then look at Nani, Coleman, Baines etc. They were older than Rodwell before they started showing their ability.
