I was only 4 last time we won the league, for most of my adult life we were sh*te - and yet when Peter Johnson was raping the club people weren't poring over the accounts and screaming for his head, they were biting their nails as Barry Horn smashed a goal past Wimbledon to keep us up, were pleased when we scraped a win via a Tony Cottee toe poke. I remember being *****d off we couldn't give Joe Royle the money to sign Tor Andre Flo, but I didn't feel tempted to march in the street. I remember FRIENDLY rivalry with the RS. When did football stop being important to football fans? We're playing the best football I've ever seen from an Everton side. Ah well.
