One thing I'd say about Naismith is that he consistently beats the full backs in the air - which is a useful outlet, and Jela makes runs off of him winning those battles.  He's not the same player he was (yet) before the 2 cruciates he had, because my old man (Motherwell Fan who I took to the Chelsea game when I was back) said he was twice the player we are seeing when he first saw him at Kilmarnock.

Add to that, he is better in the middle.

    And he was free.

a Free bar of gold wouldn't be the right shape for some people...

It's a term the implicitly states that some people will never be happy, irrespective of the circumstances.

Not to be taken literally, like...

i understand that but why use a phrase that also has in its implication a product of value and i am contending that naismith with the salary paid will not be worth anything and will in fact cost the club money so under those circumstances i would say that the "term" you chose to use does not apply in any sense

all i can say is that he's not made for the wings

he hasn't got the fitness or the pace to get up and down the line for 90 mins.  ossie used to be a bit of a scapegoat too but thats because he was a centre mid being used ont he wings.  this season ossie has been brilliant and it's no coincidence that he is playing in his propper position

I dont think the problem is Nais it is Moyes and his team
They see what we see and keep picking a player with no pace to play out of position week after week
How can anyone slate a man who gives his all ,
By the way just look at some of the passes he was given against the barcodes they were hospital balls  ,from many of the favoured players
It is sad as he IS a good player but too much is being asked and too soon
    Come on Nais

Naismith runs around like a dog with twoDicks and that is all he does, simply not upto Premier League standard.

At the end of the day its plain to see that steven naismith is not a premier league footballer and I'm hardly surprised that it turned out that way either
