With regards transfers and money to spend......

Firstly i'll start by saying i've no idea who we may or may not be interested in buying, however, i found it interesting what Moyes said the other day........

http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/news/1134740/Moyes-not-expecting-to-spend?   Interesting that he admitted we got 5.5m for Billy, and that allowed us to buy Jelly for 5m and Gibbo for 500k (Billy's money gone). With Pienaar coming in on loan (Saha went to Spurs, so a swap loan probably?)......which brings me to summer.....

We sold Rodwell for a rumoured 12m.......Yobo, Joao Silva and Timmy all left in the summer (for undisclosed fees) http://www.evertonfc.com/match/transfers.html  This surely adds up to some where in the region of 14 million i would imagine? So we brought in....

    Oviedo 1.8m (rumoured)
    Naismith was free.
    Mirallas 5.5m (rumoured)
    Pienaar 3.5m (rumoured)
2 young lads for nominal fees.......

Thats roughly an outlay of 11m.

SO, to sum it up, we should have about 3m left in the transfer kitty to spend. And that is IF we got 12 for Rodwell, we may have got more, and the players we signed may have been cheaper than my rough estimates. Not a single transfer on the OS (summer of 2012) has an actual figure though, every transfer whether coming or going is undisclosed. I know we have said this before, but, it does sort of hide away the small amount of money we have got to spend, so we will never see our sevles getting ripped off for the cost of a player.

Remember the summer when we sold Arteta though, we got 10m for him and didnt buy anyone, so Moyes admitting the Billy money went on Jelly and Gibbo confirmed to us (i know we knew but were never actually told) that the Arteta money must have all gone to the bank.......... AND we sold the Yak for 1.5m and Beckford for 2.5m that summer also, so that 14m that MUST have gone to the bank, the numbers are here, the only 3 transfers that show the actual sold amounts in the last 2 calendar years................http://www.evertonfc.com/match/transfers.html?alt_page_var=pageOut&pageIn=1&pageOut=3

I'd be happy if we bought Butland for £7m in installments (it would pip Liverpool who apparently want him for £6m) and loaned Ofoe or someone. I don't see how we can't afford that.

However, according to Elstone, we're (just about (meaning we're going further in debt)) breaking even every year on our loans, so maybe we can't afford it.

Of course he's said we're skint. He always does. Would you want clubs knowing that you've got £5m to spend? They'd hold you to ransom.

BUT we should not be Milky, Summer of 2011, 14 MILLION must have gone to the bank, if that isnt enough to service the debt for 3 or 4 years its a bad job mate.

We've got money to spend, and more than we think. We just spend it in dribs & drabs so as to keep up the skint facade and keep improving. If what we had has ALL gone to the bank then it's not the worst thing, but I can't see it, what with Moyes stalling on his contract. Imo, what we have will be a contract sweetener, along with the big bonus from the EPL rights deal, we'll be spending in the next couple of seasons.

It's not only servicing the debt but reducing it.

I seriously can't see us spending anything other than what is raised.

I will contact the Blue Onion forour true figures

I really don't like this valuation. Most chances created in Europe: 15m. Right.

think Baines will stay till the summer

He owes us that and if we don't achieve Europe then we shouldbe willing to let him move on

Sambo you're not accounting at all for the dosh we got for Bellefield in the last couple of years. That + Arteta, Beckford, Yobo. Yakubu, Pienaar, Rodwell, Cahill and Bily all adds up to something in the region of £48 Million by my estimations. With about £19 Million of it spent. So to me the question SHOULD BE, what the _fuck happened to the other £30 odd Million

And that's before you even get started on the mysterious twenty-something million disappearing under "Other operating expenses" in the accounts.
