How many games do we need to play before moyes stops playing 4-5-1 or sorry! 4-6-0!! As soon as he changes it to 4-4-2 and play with strikers on the field and not on the bench, we start scoring. come on moyes get your finger out! If wigan were a better team, we would be lucky for a draw.

Nah. Cahill and Osman did a great job tiring the Wigan defence down. Great Tac-Tics from Moyes

Moyes is so defensive against the poorer teams, there is a times to start 4-4-2 and today was of those.  Cahill looks lost up front, which means we are limited going forward.  The team we finished should be the team we start with against WBA

yeah but there both mid fielders and not strikers. Both good players but cant hold the line up front. Cahill or Osman are best behind the front two!

What was the score before he changed it to 4-4-2 and brought to two strikers???

What would the score of been if he had started with that and Cahilll hadn't run the defence ragged first? Who knows..

Cahill is at his best hitting the box late - ghosting in and causing problems for defenders/midfielders. When he is up top its a simple job for a good center back to be on him. When that happens you will see Timmy complaining that he's being man handled - come on, I challenge any of you to tell me that you haven't seen this?? He can win headers but he cant hold up play and let other play off him. Of course he will give people a hard time because he is a grafter, but he is not a man to have up top by himself - it just doesn't work.

Ossie is better of deeper (not the traditional Cahilll off the the forward role). He's a bit too small to be winning second balls and making things work. If he is in the midfield proper then he will get involved in passing and moving and that's where his skill lies.

I am not totally into the 4-4-2 argument. I would like to see 4-3-3 or 4-2-1-2-1 (Barce) if we use the right players (and against the right teams). But for me Timmy isnt the man to be putting up front.

I'd like to see a 4-4-2. I still think that we need 2 strikers up front. But I have to agree with OGV...it all depends if we use the right players. 4-4-2, 4-3-3...gotta put the right players in the proper situation. However, I can't complain too much since they earned 3 points!

Howdy, Stranger!
