The Grauniad keep insisting today is Drenthe's debut, or full debut.  He came on as a sub last match didn't he?

He looks a good player. Surely a first start is just around the corner.

Great header for the goal, but his touch was a little lacking. First three touches were awful, but you can tell with games he'll improve. Have to say though, i thought Dennis looked really good, good touch and a football brain. Well done to both of them, i think Cahill had softened their defence up a bit, worked his socks off considering some of the balls he was given. Drenthe, superb cool finish, he will make mistakes; as he will try things others wont. Rather that than Billy being indesicive, though he played better today, thanks to the space Wigan gave him. \:D/

Thought he looked lively, still concerned that he will nullify the threat of Baines a bit though, instead of Baines being the overlap he's shot of with Baines left in defence. We'll see though, that pace will be great for a counter attack though.

Know what you mean, he will try things that won't work and make mistakes but his adventurous still will force defenders to think differently and panic them some what. Drenthe is a very good player and I hope we can make him reach the potential he showed before he went to Madrid.

with that pace Roy's Rolls might be useful away from home on the break...
