Been on the wacky backy wanting us to sell baines to fund champions league push. In my opinion this is one player who shouldn't be sold at any cost

Then apparently he said elsewhere that if we sell anyone we risk losing Moyes...

    He's right

If we don't show ambition Baines may want to leave so perhaps we should cash in now

I can see Baines being sold in the summer. Oviedo being here pretty much looks like he was security on the chance of it happening and after a season of settling in then I wouldn't be surprised if Moyes did it and bought another left back too. Maybe even someone who can cover left back and centre half like Lescott did, ideally.

I have a West Ham supporting father in law.... he's is fond of saying "Fellaini is a great player, you just better hope you can keep him!" .... in the end I said "keep him? Moyes didn't spend 15 million on an untested lanky belgian midfielder with a silly hair cut in order to keep him".

Which is true, the moment Moyes parted with that sort of money for that type of player then he was always going to be sold, be it at a healthy profit as looks likely or to recoup the biggest part of that 15 million that he could.

Players come and players go and they have sell by dates that reflect their different reasons... Moyes has generally made good transactions, so let him sell and buy who he wants with the money I say, no one is bigger than the club, but Moyes does well with the money he has, with few exceptions.

Edit to say: I don't want Baines to be sold, I hope he stays. But if Moyes feels it best to cash in, then so be it.
