The bias of the Prem league....

After 1 bad day, Kenny Dalglish complains about the referee's on saturday (most of his comments aren't heard until the papers on sunday).....and the Premier league give him a meeting with the referees' chief Mike Riley on MONDAY!!.....

Thats just incredible.....the ref cost us 3 points against Villa on Saturday, where was Moyes' meeting with Riley?.....the ref gave us a dodgy peno the week before against blackburn, where was Steve Kean's meeting?...

I would say without fail, every weekend in the Prem League, the result is decided by the referee in atleast 4 out of the 10 games....yet only Liverpool get this ridiculous treatment...Moyes would be fined if he suggested the referee's were incompetent......

ferguson and dalglish, they both know how to handle the media, ferguson did a similar thing last season.

having this meeting now and making it public means, the next half penalty claim or challenge, they will probably get the decision.

It wasn't even the wrong decision!!!

ya know what the most shocking thing was?
The referee was Mark Clattenberg - reffing what I believe was his first RS game since THAT day!
Played on his mind maybe? :D

Although I agree in part, I'm sick of this idea that the referee decided the match. Liverpool had just under 100 million of attacking prowess on the pitch and couldn't score, we created chance after chance against Villa and couldn't finish, Blackburn should have beaten us easily despite the missed penalties but couldn't finish. Yes, referees can give decisions that can change the momentum and have an impact but aren't the deciding factor in a result. A team should look at they're defensive and attacking mistakes first.

I was stunned that he even put in a complaint about it - Other managers just get on with the job, despite it being bloody frustrating. Remember the season we went all season bar the last game without a penalty? Where was the complaint then??

was sickening (but not surprising) hearing so many tv pundits over the weekend claiming that Carragher didn't commit a foul for the peno...blatant professional foul by a guy who's been getting away with murder for years.....

didn't know that was clattenburg's first liverpool game since that derby.....prob was a factor in his mind.......he actually reffed fair for a change.......hence dalglish's confusion with the days proceedings.....

i hear what your saying....but if the ref awards us the peno for the foul on Baines, then we go 2-0 up, and that match was over.......yes we should have won the game with the chances & possession we had, but had the ref done his job then we would.....Key decisions change matches.....sometimes you can't blame the ref for missing stuff (thats FIFA & UEFA's fault), but when its right in front of the refs nose and he still gets it wrong its frustrating......

Just because they should or shouldn't have had a penalty doesn't mean they would have scored it.

I think we should ask Kenny what he thought of the Clattenburg derby and see what of the ref that day.

Every referee makes mistakes, and every team suffers from them.

The difference is that the bigger teams moan about them more, while the others just get on with it.
