Blue Union Q&A

As per Milkmans thread which he has locked. In fairness to them, or what you might think of them, it wasn't a bad idea to try and answer peoples questions on the OS.

So... Did you ask a question?

If so, what was it and were you happy with their answer?

that seems harsh that they wouldn't answer your simple question.

    I asked:

The public nature of the position of Everton FC board member makes it clear that the profile, history and CV's of those individuals will be placed in the public domain. Surely those people wanting to criticise those board members should put themselves on an equal footing. Will the main members of Blue Union post their CV's (addresses withheld) so that Everton fans can see the experience of the people they are supporting(or not)?

The reason I ask this is that thus far Blue Union have made very embarrassing viewing. But if one of them had some relevaant experience then maybe the fans would support them more. Or the whole experience would be less embarrassing for those fans that don't support them. Either way, there would probably be less hostility and less cringing to boot.

    And this was their answer:

The only item on a CV that is of interest to us is that of being an Evertonian.

I have to admit I find it a bit telling. In a previous answer they've gone on about having business experience and such, and we do know their names. But clearly their CV's do not help their cause and so they've elected to go back the evertonian route again.

Disappointing, but given the quality of their campaign, their actions and their press releases. Its not really much of a supprise.

Still, I asked a question and they took the time to answer it.

Our idea of the interim board is merely to help him find suitable investment and or buyers that he has been desperately craving.

I must reiterate we are not suggesting an interim board necessarily; the current board can stay in place whilst the sale process is undertaken by a group of professionals. Many are paid on the successful completion of the deal.

Our aim would be for people who are experts in this field to be approached. Someone similar to Martin Broughton who was tasked with a similar job at Liverpool.

    My own question was.....

How do you think supporters' meetings and protest marches are going to make a Billionaire want to buy a company with no assets other than players, debts approaching £100 Million when you include the mortgages, an ancient stadium, and living in the shadow of one of the World’s most popular clubs (spit!)?

Everton don’t necessarily want or need a Billionaire to bank roll us for the next 10-20 (as ideal as it would be). For myself, I would personally like to see a business model that doesn’t focus on stripping our assets and outsourcing to third parties (not that we have anymore assets left to strip other than those you see on the pitch). Goodison is often used as an excuse as to why people haven’t shown an interest in buying us. If that is truly the case, why is it that there are no plans in place to expand the corporate facilities available, redevelop Goodison or relocate to a suitable site? Whilst during the DK debate, then CEO Keith Wyness very publicly stated, “There is no Plan B”. For a Club the size of Everton, that is not good enough. Since DK was called in, Everton have done nothing to improve Goodison internally. In fact, the last attempt to improve facilities at Goodison, Everton Place, has been delayed for the foreseeable future because of “Insurance Purposes”, or “Legal Quagmires” or because “IT Equipment can’t be moved during the season”, depending on who at the Club you listen to.
It’s my belief that if Everton show positive moves to increase revenue streams, and to redevelop or relocate Goodison, this will attract the potential investors or buyers that we crave.

So we can see from other answers that Simon Magner (one of the 3 stooges who met with Bill) was the actual person who answered these questions.

So can I take it from this answer that basically, all this fuss is about them wanting EFC to not spending money we haven't got (which is exactly what we did this Summer which caused them to kick up), and about Everton not expanding corporate facilities (when the existing one's are even fully utalized), and about Everton not redeveloping Goodison or rebuilding (when doing so would quadruple the debt for a company that can't borrow another penny anyway - and the increased debt is TBU's other big issue with the club).

Then, to finish it all off, Simon says "It’s my belief that if Everton show positive moves to increase revenue streams, and to redevelop or relocate Goodison, this will attract the potential investors or buyers that we crave" - having earlier called the notion that Goodison is the reason as to why people haven’t shown an interest an "excuse"!

Thanks for taking the time to answer questions Simon. But you're just continuing to show yourselves up as a group without a clue!

Its fair to say that that is just a shocking indictment of these clowns.

Martin Broughton was sent in to reclaim the debt for the bank via a sale at any price that didn't damage the banks interests, i.e be completely screwing over the actual owner be virtue of their worsening debt crisis.

What an utter shower of tw@'s these muppets are. Their grasp of the key issues is nothing short of infantile.
