                    Howard
    Neville     Jags   Distin      Baines

            Felli             Gibson

    Mirallas                            Pienaar

                      Naismith

              Jelavic

The problem being is we cant get everyone fit. I think if/when we do, then i can see us going on a run of 10 games with out losing and winning at least 7 of them.

We def need another striker and another midfielder either loans or permanents in January, as when we get 2 or 3 injuries the squad still does look on the thin side, no felli, neville, gibbo, mirallas next week and we will look thread bare, so Jan will be an important time for sure and we NEED to do business imo. :)

I think we have a good team and we have made an excellent start to the season, but for me, games like this show that we are not good enough to finish 4th. Top 4 teams win games against the likes of Reading after they go in a goal up at half time, and if they don't win then they certainly don't lose. I think that we have a good chance of finishing 5th or 6th this season, but in my opinion, we are definitely not a top 4 team.

i disagree, i think if everyone is fit we have a real chance, and if we bring in a couple of faces in jan then we have even more of a chance.

Maybe so, but its not often that we will have everyone fit, and I'm sure we won't sign anyone in January unless players leave, which is why I don't believe we will finish 4th.

It's not about line-up for me but team attitude and focus. The result today can't be down to line-up because we were looking very good in the 1st. We lost all confidence after the equaliser.

I know, but when you post an "instant solution" thread shortly after a loss then you imply it :)

Its not even an instant solution b'cos not everyone's fit anyway so its hypothetical more than anything. Getting sick of this forum me like.

Actually, you presumed my post had anything to do with yours sambo. I didn't realise I need your permission to talk about today's game.

I like Felli being further forward myself. I would have Osman in there pending the signing of someone better. A also don't go with the consensus of Pienaar having to play on the left instead of Mirallas just because Baines\Pienaar has given us what is the best left side in the Prem. Baines will give us the best left side in the Prem with any decent winger to work with and I'm disappointed with Pienaar overall this season so far. But we can't drop him without a better option on the right. Donovan would be nice.
