Everton are a selling club

I have heard that we are turning into a selling club but surely we have been one since we were banned from Europe and sold Lineker, Steven, Stevens etc. Recently we have been selling other assets but thats another discussion.

I have no issues with the activities we have had under Moyes and any of the players he has sold. People were getting upset last season when Rodwell was being chased for 20 million odd but now they would be happy if we got 10 mill for him.

I would have no issues if we continued to be strong enough to finish 5-7 with a bit of Europe and hopefully a cup run. Also if we continued to spot talent in lower leagues give them a break and sell them on for profit (lescott, Beckford). Even give the youth an opportunity (even more than Moyes currently does) and show young players that if you want a shot at premiership football Everton is your best chance. We might even hit a group like United did that started their success.

Once we get our debt down, money for a stadium move and a strong youth policy we will then be prime target for a big investor and a business model that is attractive. It is a long term strategy but this has worked for us over the last 10 years under Moyes with the exception of the money buys who have not worked (exception if Fellaini who if continues should show a good return when we sell him). Moyes' best buys are always the cheaper ones.

Like everyone I would like to see investment but for whatever reason its not happening and believe this strategy has potential.
