First Game :D

So took my 3 year old to his first Everton game yesterday. First stop club shop for 2 kits and some goodies. Then a walk round the ground to get a programme, scarf, hat and some badges. Then off to the legion near Aldi for a pint (love that place) followed by a pie and chips and watching the mighty blues in the family stand. Thanks to Phil Neville and Royston Drenthe for making a huge fuss of him. All the fans around us were great and the guy who hugged and kissed him on the way to the car for singing as loud as he could 'we dont care what the red side say' (bit young for **** at the mo).

Taking him there and spoiling him rotten reminded me of my first game when my old man took me years ago, I have loved Everton ever since. We are the only team that can give people that buzz of sitting in the stands, listening to the Z cars and singing the best chants around.

And to top it off, thought the team were outstanding, shame we didnt get the 3 points. Would love to live close enough to be there every week, but will be booking some more tickets for Oct/Nov :d

Ya missed the protest then, phew that would have ruined it all for you........

Saw at least 3 other kids on their first game, having their photos taken n stuff. Well ya might not believe it but i took me sister for the first time and she's 54!!!!!. After all the years of living in an Everton mad house, me me late dad n mum n brother, and she comes along, coz me son is holidaying with his girlfriend in Rome. She was like a 3yr old, loved it and cant wait for my son to free up his seat again. See, yer never to young or old to make a start............

Reminds me of my first game at goodison, was the mersey derby several years ago. Sat in the main stand with my Dad and still remember the huge roar when the teams came out, Z cars and the toffee lady. Was a fairly dull 0-0 draw in the end but will never forget it!
