Ridiculous, why give Sunderland a crumb of comfort. They would be terrified if Jeli was playing and Oviedo instead of Neville, it will be raining goals. One thing ya never do is drop a goalscorer just coz he hasnt scored for a few games, that just makes them feel worse. He's still got 4 in 9, which aint too bad, playing a team like Sunderland will only make him hungrier to score....

Oviedo in Midfield?? He is a left back/left winger. He's a new signing and you want to throw him into an unfamiliar position, what do you think that would do for his confidence if he had a shocker.
Whatever people say about Neville, he is our skipper and he is our voice on the pitch. And he's willing to put the boot in which is what you need in midfield.
The success of Fellaini up front has actually hindered Jelavic in a way because Felli is now the focal point in our attack. I'd like to see Mirallas through the middle with Fellaini in support for a game or two as I think it could work really well. There's nothing wrong with squad rotation if we have the players to do it.
I think the midfield of Ossie, Pienaar, and Oviedo would pass rings around most teams.
And another thing that baffles me is that people don't realise Coleman is going to be an absolute superstar right back!! he's still young and when he cuts out the silly mistakes he will be the best in the premiership.

    madness to drop Jelavic.......

    Howard
    Hibbert Jags Distin Baines
    Mirallas Neville Osman Pienaar
    Fellaini
    Jelavic

don't like Neville playing, but right now there's no other option (had hopes for Francisco Junior but didn't look ready against leeds), you can't play fellaini as a defensive midfielder now, he's terrorising defences where he is.....

Moyes has had plenty of chances to play Heitinga in that role......he always opts for Neville....so he obviously doesn't think Heits can be played there...so its not an option....

Hitzelsperger.......has he played the holding midfield role before?, thought he was more of an attacking midfielder?, i'm not sure to be honest.......might be question mark over his fitness levels anyway.....if moyes isn't even introducing him as a sub yet, he ain't gonna start him saturday

I wouldnt change the team that played at Fulham, bar a bit of lazy stupid defending and goalkeeping it was on of the best everton performances in a long time

I don't know either to be honest. Some people on here have said he should be played there....and I have asked the same question as you. Then again, some plebs on here think we should play Oveido in central midfield too!

Can't believe the amount of people who think Oveido should play in midfield when every report on him says his defending is the weak point of his game and he's said that himself! I imagine Moyes has the same plan for him as he's done with Coleman, play as a wide midfielder for a season or so then move him back. Btw I know Coleman has made a few mistakes but I'd rather we'd keep him in the team and back then drop a player for every mistake they make.

I think he could be onto something. Pienaar at right back could be a massive find and would really catch em by suprise!

good call.  jelavic looks unfit to me.  think he needs a break and would be interesting to see how mirallas does up top

I agree to an extent with salty pepper, especially about Seamus, but I would also like to see Duffy being given sub roles in matches to assess his readiness for first team action alongside jags.

I think we'd be more balanced as a team if we had Mirallas as the supporting striker with Fellaini going back into the midfield. We can still push Fellaini forward when we need to but it would overall balance us out at the back because Fellaini is just as good infront of the back four as he is infront of the rest of the team.
