I could sit on the bench for 30k a week.

Why doesn't Hitzlesperger play? We're crying out for a decent central midfield player yet an experienced international sits on the bench while 35 yo Phil Neville keeps getting picked.

What's the point of signing experienced players who never get a game? They just collect wages and warm the bench. No doubt come January we'll try to sign Ofoe again. or someone like him, and Hitzlsperger will be on his way without ever having kicked a ball in anger.

    i concur with this

Moyes has said he wanted a longer look at him but why are we paying him a wage just to do that.

Don't know. But whatever he's getting he's not coming cheap.

I think he is. He's 30, hasn't played for two years and marred by injuries, with no club taking him on.

Made me laugh this... Seriously lads... You think he'll be on £30k a week? No chance. He'll be on a fraction of that and he's last stop emergency cover... Face it moyes loves Neville...

Always liked Hitzlesperger from his days at Villa, I hope he can get a few games and prove to be a solid addition for us. On form he could easiliy do Gibsons job. He's been playing in U21s, hope he gets match fit and we see him in prem before Jan.

Moyes is one of the most respected Managers in the P/L & Everton is becoming the team to fear. Even for the big guns. That's something we should all be very proud of, considering our circumstances.

I don't think he's doing too much wrong. Hibbert has been written off & then praised to high Heaven. Neville same thing. In fact most players have been criticized on here.

We're 4th. Hands up who expected that at this stage. Not me for one.

Never been sure of Hitzlsperger's Defensive Midfield credentials myself. Because of that, I never really saw the point of 'signing' him other than to cover when Pienaar went to the African Nations Cup. And since Pienaar has now retired from international football, that's now irrelevant - and we have had Mirallas and Oviedo play wide left recently anyway!
