Protest Yesterday.... Why not?...

Posts: 1,841September 2011 These guys have a perfect right to form a protest, no matter how you feel they have a prefect right! I for one dislike protests, but this was hardly chains to lamp posts and throwin petrol bombs at the board.It wasn't a rowdy protest and it wasn't pointed at any single person in particular... The funny thing is though, I don't see anyone who disagrees with the protest forming a "Keep the Board in the Club"!!!! Why is this? Why doesn't the guys who are dead against this try to keep the board in place??? I think 95% want some form of change but most sit on the fence, these are the guys who can then say "I knew we should have kept the board in place" if things go bad and if it goes well "Yes, needed the change", sorry but its you guys that I cant stand!!!We must take care with our club and not be brash, we could land up with Kenwright getting fed up and selling us to any old muppet, then we would be up shitee creek... I don't hate Kenwright at all, its not all his fault for christ sakes, he did well for some time, but its obvious for all to see that our business dealings are awful and this £5m loss a year has been going on for a few years and now its caught up. My idea was they were investing and hoped for Europe to bring in the cash, but I didnt work out that way....I believe within the year something will happen at goodsion, good or bad I dont know. But do i think we will be sold within the year? Yes I do... You just have to look at Knewrights face, he is fed up and wants out...My opinion of course, anyone want to meet up for fight no prob.

Posts: 24,156September 2011 mate, £5.70 for a burger at the burger stand, it was decent, but i think it was a bit expensive for what it was, i might protest if it goes up to £5.80

Posts: 5,114September 2011 your right in what your saying mate, i think the board are trying, think they are lowering our overheads, trying to make us look a more viable proposition, unless its someone with mega money nobodys gonna buy a business with massive debts,why would they? and 5.70 for a burger lol, i would expect a fur burger for that much :-))

u dont want the burger then but they wont let you give it back and have ur money back!

Posts: 1,794September 2011 you don't really need to protest or form a group to maintain the status quo. with our reduction of wages and money from transfers we are in a better position than a month ago. 300 people have no power over Kenwright to force him to sell.
Why would I need to form a marching troupe? If I do, will you be our majorette? -

Most have not been to goodison for months, maybe years and some of you haven't even physically kicked a ball or played the game.. Laughable... -
Posts: 1,841September 2011 The people who are protesting are mostly worried about the FUTURE!!!!And when i ask the question on here "What will become of Everton?" none of you have a clue what to say, now that's what most of the guys are protesting about, the way forward............The worrying thing even our chairman and director cant answer this? now you ask any business man, where will you hope to be in 5 years and if he told you i haven't got a clue??? what would you think of his business?? yes PANTS OPERATION!!

I haven't been to goodison for 9 months, though I was playing 5 a side on Thursday.
As for the future, the accounts aren't that bad. I have been through them year after year. For a business they're atrocious, but my employer lost a lot more than Everton last year. The odd bit is the frugality if our bank stopping the overdraft, mist clubs have more leeway. So now, we can save money on wages, put some sake money into breaking even, the rest invested in the squad, keeping a sensible wage structure this time. Then when everyone has to live within their means, either all clubs will hike ticket prices, or player wages will fall into line with a viable market value. Either way, we'll be okay. Not great, but okay.
Plunging cash into a leaky business is no way to manage it. -
Posts: 1,841September 2011 on that plan we become a mid-table team and hope we dont get relegated.your break down means no spending on players unless we sell big, which bring us back to being worse than most teams in the prem, we are a selling club and we cannot compete with clubs such as stoke, wolves etc...I dont mind that at all as its the state we are in.... so lets stop pretending that we are a big club, cos we aint, history is history........
